QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

What safety teams ask us.

A starting point for understanding the system. Request product documentation and a site-specific review for operating details.

How does the inflatable fall protection system work?

Individual bags connect to form a planned layout. Each bag is inflated, capped, and positioned for an approved work area. Patent-pending pressure relief valves are designed to release air on impact.

Does the system need a continuous blower?

No. According to Davis Fall Protection's product information, the bags stay inflated without a continuous blower after setup.

Can the bag layout be customized?

Yes. The modular connection system allows different arrangements. The working height, footprint, clearance, and other site conditions determine which configurations may be suitable.

What industries can use the system?

Davis Fall Protection discusses applications in military and aviation maintenance, construction and roofing, industrial and warehouse operations, and other elevated maintenance tasks. Each use needs its own assessment.

What documentation is available for safety and OSHA review?

Based on our testing, we consider the tested bag configurations aligned with applicable criteria in OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502(c), the safety-net systems provision. The standard’s outward-extension distances are in paragraph (c)(2), while drop-testing is addressed in paragraph (c)(4). Davis can provide product-specific test documentation upon request. Suitability and use should be evaluated for the specific task and worksite.

How are bags stored and transported?

The bags deflate and fold into rolling storage cases. Follow the product manual for inspection, folding, storage, and return to service.

Can we get help with training and setup?
